There are several species of Scud Bugs that inhabit the Eastern U.S. trout streams. I have found that you only need two colors from Maine to Georgia. Over 80% of a trouts diet comes from Scuds, nymph flies and wet flies. If dry flies are not working than you can bet you will catch fish fishing under the surface.
